Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Solema mobile application (the on-device GIF creation experience). Solema provides creative editing tools, local drafts, local history, and consumable Coins for exports. The app may also use advertising attribution and App Tracking Transparency features as described below.
1. Information Handling
The current version of Solema does not require registration with an email address, password, phone number, or third-party account.
The following information is handled locally on your device to provide app features. Solema does not upload your local profile, source media, drafts, exported GIFs, history, folders, or Coin balance for GIF creation features:
- Local profile — login state, nickname, avatar, and preferences you choose.
- Creative content — user-selected videos and photos, edit settings, drafts, thumbnails, exported GIFs, history, and folders.
- Coin records — Coin balance, first-Start bonus status, export spending, and identifiers used locally to prevent duplicate purchase credit.
- Purchase status — Apple provides StoreKit transaction results needed to complete a Coin purchase. Apple processes payment information under Apple's policies.
Separately, Solema may collect and transmit advertising and attribution-related identifiers and events as described in Sections 2 and 5. That activity is distinct from local GIF media processing.
2. Permissions and Purpose
Solema may request the following permissions when needed for a feature you choose or for attribution:
- Photo Library read access — select photos or videos for GIF creation and optionally choose a profile avatar.
- Photo Library add access — save an exported GIF to Photos after you tap Save to Album.
- App Tracking Transparency (Tracking) — with your permission, Solema may access the advertising identifier (IDFA) and related tracking signals. As stated in the system prompt, this identifier may be used for personalized GIF style recommendations and ad attribution.
You can change permissions in iOS Settings at any time. Denying Photo Library access only affects related creative features. Denying Tracking limits personalized recommendations and advertising attribution that rely on the advertising identifier; other app features may still work.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide GIF creation, editing, draft continue, history, folders, and profile features.
- Process media locally on your device whenever possible for trim, crop, frame sequencing, overlays, animation styles, and GIF encoding.
- Manage Coins balance, first-login bonus, and consumable in-app purchases.
- Maintain the local session and settings, and delete local app data when requested.
- Prevent the same StoreKit transaction from crediting Coins more than once.
- Measure installs, campaigns, and advertising performance, and support attribution and analytics through Adjust and related Apple frameworks.
4. Local Processing
GIF creation and export run on your device. Media you select is used only to create the result you request and is not uploaded by Solema for creative processing. The app does not use your media to train artificial intelligence models.
5. Advertising Attribution and Tracking Data
Solema includes the Adjust SDK and uses Apple frameworks such as AdSupport and AppTrackingTransparency. Depending on your Tracking authorization status and device settings, the app may access or process:
- Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and related advertising identity signals.
- Adjust advertising identifiers (such as ADID) and attribution data (for example campaign, network, and click labels).
- Device and app context needed for attribution and analytics (such as device identifiers managed by the SDK, app version, and attribution events).
This information may be collected and uploaded to Adjust for advertising attribution and analytics, so that we can measure marketing performance, attribute installs, and support personalized GIF style recommendations and ad attribution described in the Tracking permission prompt. Adjust processes data under Adjust's privacy policy and terms. If you deny Tracking permission, Apple may restrict IDFA access; Adjust may still receive limited non-IDFA signals permitted by the platform and SDK configuration.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your creative media. Information may be disclosed in these situations:
- Apple handles App Store purchases and related transaction processing under Apple's privacy policy.
- Adjust and related attribution partners process advertising identifiers, ADID, attribution events, and related analytics as described in Section 5.
- When you choose Share, iOS presents the system share sheet. Content is sent only to the destination you select and is then governed by that destination's privacy terms.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request.
- To protect rights, safety, and property of users, us, or others.
7. Data Storage and Security
Profile data, drafts, GIF history, folders, thumbnails, transaction-credit identifiers, and Coin balances are stored on your device using the app's local storage. Attribution-related identifiers and cached attribution results may also be stored locally and transmitted as described in Section 5. Your device security and backups may also affect this data. No storage method is absolutely secure.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
- Local creative and profile data remains available while you use the app, until you delete specific content, delete your account, or uninstall the app.
- Logging out clears the local session but keeps drafts, history, Coins, and profile settings on the device.
- Delete Account in this version deletes local drafts, GIF history, folders, Coins, profile data, settings, and the local session. Because no server account is created, this action deletes local app data rather than a remote account.
- The app retains local markers showing whether the app was previously entered and whether the first-Start Coin bonus was granted, so the one-time bonus cannot be claimed repeatedly.
- Attribution and analytics data held by Adjust or related services is retained according to those providers' policies and our operational needs.
9. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information. You can edit local profile data in the app, delete individual creations, revoke Photo Library or Tracking permissions in iOS Settings, or use Delete Account in Profile to clear local app data. Additional requests may be submitted through our support channel.
10. Children's Privacy
Solema is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by applicable law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that such information was collected without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
11. International Transfers
Solema does not transfer your creative media to developer-operated servers for GIF processing in the current version. Attribution, analytics, and purchase-related data may be processed in other jurisdictions by Apple or Adjust according to their privacy policies and applicable law.
12. Third-Party Services
The app relies on Apple services and frameworks including StoreKit, AdSupport, AppTrackingTransparency, the system Photo Library picker, Photos, and the iOS share sheet. It also includes the Adjust SDK for advertising attribution and analytics, and libraries used for interface layout and local image display. Use of those services is governed by the applicable third-party terms and privacy policies, in addition to this Privacy Policy.
13. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by in-app notice, website update, or other reasonable channels. Continued use after updates means you acknowledge the revised policy.
