Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and Local Session

• You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law.
• The current version does not create a server account or require an email address, password, phone number, or third-party login.
• Tapping Start creates a local app session on your device. You are responsible for securing access to your device.
• You are responsible for your use of the app and all content you create, save, or share.

2. Service Description

Solema provides features including but not limited to:

• Video-to-GIF creation from a selected short video segment, with crop ratio and frame timing controls.
• Photos-to-GIF creation with photo ordering, frame delay, loop count, output width, and custom text.
• Creative tools for meme captions, animated text, and emoji stickers over user-selected media or a color background.
• Draft continue, export results, history folders, and sharing / saving to Photos.
• Profile management and account deletion.
• Optional in-app purchases of digital Coins used for GIF exports.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service based on product, technical, legal, or security needs.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Violate laws, regulations, or rights of others.
• Create, save, share, publish, or distribute illegal, infringing, abusive, sexually exploitative, or otherwise harmful content.
• Interfere with system security, integrity, or normal operation.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, exploit, or misuse the service without authorization.
• Use automated tools to abuse registration, traffic, exports, or transactions.

4. User Content

• You retain rights to content you create or import, subject to applicable law.
• Your selected media and GIF creation are processed locally on your device in the current version. Solema does not upload your creative media to developer-operated servers.
• You represent that your content does not infringe third-party rights and is lawful.
• When you use the iOS share sheet, you direct the system to send content to a destination you select. Your use of that destination is governed by its terms.

5. GIF Creation and Local Processing

• GIF creation and export are performed on your device.
• Preview and exported results may vary by device performance, source media quality, and selected parameters.
• Each successful GIF export may consume Coins as displayed in the app (currently 70 Coins per successful export). Failed exports do not deduct Coins.
• You remain responsible for how you use exported GIFs and for obtaining rights to any media you import.

6. In-App Purchases and Coins

• Some features require Coins, which can be obtained via a first-login bonus and optional consumable purchases.
• Billing and payment processing are handled by Apple through the App Store / StoreKit.
• Refunds, cancellations, and billing disputes are subject to Apple's policies and applicable law.
• Coins and related entitlements are digital, non-transferable (unless required by law), and have no cash value outside the app.
• Consumable Coins are not restored through Restore Purchases. If a purchase issue occurs, contact Apple or the available support channel.
• Promotional labels such as discount badges on coin packs describe the pack presentation only and do not create a separate auto-renewing subscription unless explicitly sold as a subscription product.

7. Intellectual Property

• The app, trademarks, logos, software, and service content are owned by Solema or licensors.
• Except as expressly allowed, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of the app or its materials.

8. Privacy

Your use of Solema is also governed by our Privacy Policy:

9. Disclaimers

• The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure operation, or that exported GIFs will meet every creative expectation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Solema and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or goodwill.

11. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. Log Out ends the local session without deleting creations or Coins. Delete Account clears local drafts, history, folders, Coins, profile data, settings, and the local session. Because this version does not create a server account, Delete Account is a local data deletion action. One-time bonus markers may remain locally to prevent repeated claims.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms as needed. Material updates may be communicated via app notice, website notice, or other reasonable channels. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws in the jurisdiction where services are provided, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws in your region.
